Morehouse Triangle Alumni Association (MTAA) is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, serving the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill region, Fayetteville, Greensboro and surrounding areas. We create pathways to success for young men through scholarships, mentorship, career exposure, and community-centered programming, while fostering lifelong brotherhood among Morehouse alumni.

WHO ARE WE

Since our chartering in 1987, MTAA has remained committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact across the communities we serve.

At the core of our work is the Resurgence Administration, under the leadership of President Terry L. Peterkin II ’09, which brings fresh ideas, renewed energy, and a twenty-first-century approach to the wide range of initiatives we champion. Guided by the vision of Robert Franklin ’75 and his Five Wells—well-read, well-dressed, well-spoken, well-traveled, and well-balanced—we strive to embody excellence, integrity, and service in all that we do.

Through intentional programming, strategic partnerships, and collective action, MTAA continues to advance the mission of Morehouse College while uplifting the next generation of leaders.

2026 FATHER’S DAY SCHOLARSHIP BRUNCH

The 2nd Annual Father’s Day Brunch is the signature event of the Morehouse Triangle Alumni Association (MTAA), advancing equity and access to higher education for African American men. This mission is carried out through a robust program that honors outstanding African American fathers and celebrates the bond of fatherhood that strengthens the Greater Triangle community.

This year’s brunch will be held in the heart of Raleigh, known as the Oak City. With close proximity to downtown Raleigh and surrounding Triangle communities, the venue offers an accessible and welcoming setting for fellowship, fatherhood, and forward-focused impact, in alignment with MTAA’s mission.
