Father’s Day
Scholarship Brunch

The Father’s Day Scholarship Brunch is the signature annual fundraising event of the Morehouse Triangle Alumni Association. Each June, we gather to celebrate the legacy of fatherhood while raising funds to support deserving students pursuing higher education, particularly at HBCUs. Through fellowship, leadership, and community investment, we honor fathers and fund futures.

What began as a vision to honor fathers has become a growing platform for generational impact.

The Father’s Day Scholarship Brunch is a signature initiative of the Morehouse Triangle Alumni Association, created to celebrate fatherhood, invest in education, and strengthen families across the Triangle region.

This event is rooted in legacy but driven by results.

COMMUNITY HONOREE AWARDS

Each year at our Annual Father’s Day Brunch, in addition to  awarding scholarships to deserving students, the Morehouse Triangle Alumni Association also honors members of the Raleigh-Durham-Greensboro-Fayetteville and surrounding communities by presenting the following Awards:

  • Dr. Kenneth L. Brown ‘91, DC Mentorship Award

  • Garland Keith Chadwell ‘76, M.P.A. Community Service Award

  • Mark Simeon ‘79, ESQ. Leadership Award

These Awards are presented after a nominations committee carefully reviews the slate of nominees for each of the Awards. We rely on the support and insight of members of the community to provide us with perspective on potential Awardees that are making a substantial impact in the community.
